The middle of June brings us the Gemini New Moon at 3:45am UTC on June 15th (late on June 14th for many time zones). The New Moon in Gemini brings energy of air alongside Mercury the ruler of the mind and communications so while manifestation is as potent as always with a new moon, this period also brings factors and potentially symptoms, that can either enhance our healing and manifestation processes or hinder them. What you’re intentionally aware of and how you’re working with it will make all the difference this month and has the potential to catapult you forward in beautiful and profoundly healing ways. We’re exploring it in this blog post, read on for more.

Gemini New Moon Meaning: Manifestation, Mind, and Energetic Shifts

As you’ll already know from previous blog posts or from looking outside at night, the New Moon is a point of total darkness; where the moon was once shining brightly in the sky, during a new moon phase, it is hidden from our view. Energetically it is a time of potent New Moon manifestation and rerouting our lives to be in greater alignment with our highest and best selves. If you’re not yet familiar with how to work with the moon cycles or why, check out this blog post or more information on that.

With June’s New Moon in Gemini and the zodiac sign of Gemini being ruled by Mercury, this specific new moon phase brings with it themes of the mind, communication, duality, forward movement, and change. While this can be a potent period for making plans and taking action on them, it will be important to intentionally remain connected to your body and grounded. Don’t let this airy Gemini energy pull you too high into your mind, without the grounded connection to what only your body knows.

When the Mind Becomes Overactive: Signs of Disconnection from the Body

When our energy awakens or concentrates too heavily in our upper chakras or our headspace without balanced activation and connection to our physical body and lower chakras, this can create a disconnect between our body and mind and there are a handful of physical symptoms that can come along with it. Some of the sensations or symptoms we might experience are dizziness, jaw tension, tooth grinding, brain fog, anxiety, rumination, headaches or migraines, depression, cloudiness, memory challenges, fatigue, insomnia, vestibular symptoms and more. You might sense stronger energy in the upper half of your body or in the front of your body, and you may feel floaty or disconnected from the lower half of your body or the back of your body. I have created a free lesson on exploring sensations through a somatic lens to support you with this, you can explore it here.

Grounding the Body During the Gemini New Moon: Somatic Healing and Balance

The trick to working with this Gemini New Moon energy to the maximum potential and greatest ease in our bodies is to utilize this airy, forward moving, mind-based energy in the ways that serve us, while intentionally reconnecting with our physical bodies and ensuring we stay grounded. We can do this through somatic inquiry and somatic healing tools, body-based therapies, grounding techniques and during this moon phase specifically, energetic grounding techniques will be very helpful as this incorporates the intuitive and airy Gemini energy and uses it to support the physical body and grounding rather than bypassing it.

Especially if you’re noticing any of the physical symptoms I listed above, pause first, check-in with your body through somatic techniques, intuitive energy healing techniques or other strategies that align for you, and ground yourself. Then, see what messages your body has for you; it is always speaking, if only we learn to listen.

Holding Duality: Working with Gemini Energy for Deeper Healing

The duality of Gemini invites us to hold two seemingly opposing truths simultaneously, allowing both to be honored and true.

How does your nervous system respond when you are in the position of needing to be with the idea that two things can be true at once? Does it collapse into one or the other? Does it feel steady and strong, knowing that it has the capacity to be with and hold duality? As a neurodivergent person this was something I had to intentionally be with for a phase of my life; the black and white style of thinking that I seem to have come to this lifetime wired with, brought unique challenges. However, learning to embrace duality and allow two opposing things to be true simultaneously offered me significant healing.

You may notice opportunities at this time showing you where duality exists within your own life. Before immediately closing off to these ideas as they arise, I invite you to pause and get curious: “could both of these things be true, and what do I notice in my body as I sit with that?”.

Neuroscience, Nervous System Patterns, and Rewiring for Aligned Change

According to neuroscience our brains will always take the quickest, most ingrained route; often choosing familiar pain or chaos over unfamiliar comfort or safety. To our nervous systems, what we were raised with and what is most familiar to us is perceived as the safest option even when it isn’t. This is why it takes intentional effort and consistency to rewire our brains and nervous systems, creating new neuropathways so that we will begin to automatically choose, act and respond in the ways that are in greater alignment with who we are at our core and the direction that we want to go in life. The energetics surrounding this Gemini New Moon will support you if you choose to consciously make new choices or change direction, but it’s important to also work with the body and create a felt-sense of safety within your nervous system so that these new patterns can begin to take form in your neuropathways.

Overthinking vs Intuition: How the Nervous System Shapes Manifestation

One of the risks with the mind-heavy Gemini energy is that we can get caught in rumination or loops of overthinking. Let me be clear: your intuition is quiet. It lives in your body, your subconscious, your nervous system, and your connection to Source energy (God, Buddha, Goddess, Higher Self, always replace my language with whatever aligns best for you). When we work with each of these areas and bring them into harmony and balance with one another, our intuition becomes clear, precise, and impossible to miss; but it doesn’t get aggressive, overwhelming or create obsessive, ruminating thoughts. A lot of people mistake anxiety and very heady energy for intuition.

As with any new moon, manifestation during this period is going to be potent, energetically supported, and require extra awareness around embodiment and our thought processes. What we think, speak, and feel in our bodies is going to impact how and what we manifest during this Gemini New Moon. If you don’t know about embodied manifestation techniques yet or why that matters, check out this previous blog post to learn more.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, this is a crucial and energetically supportive period to explore your thoughts, desires, and where you need to create change or course correct in your life. New Moon Manifesting Rituals are going to be heavily supported as always, but it will be in greater alignment to intentionally bring your body back into the equation this month. If you can bring your body, nervous system, conscious and subconscious mind and your connection to the energy around you or to Source energy into alignment and harmony, you will be significantly and divinely supported in any changes that are in alignment with the highest and best of everyone involved during this period. It’s a pretty exciting time! The New Moon manifestation work you do now will have an incredible ripple effect in your overall healing and calling in all that you desire.

Frequently Asked Question

1) What is the Gemini New Moon and when does it happen?

The Gemini New Moon falls on June 15th at 3:45am UTC. As with every New Moon, it marks a point of total darkness in the lunar cycle and energetically, is one of the most potent times for manifestation, setting intentions, and redirecting your life toward greater alignment.

2) Why is the Gemini New Moon different from other New Moons?

Gemini New Moon is different from other New Moons because Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which governs the mind, communication, and ideas. So this New Moon has a very mental, fast-moving energy to it. That can be great for making plans but it can also pull you up into your head if you’re not mindful and intentional about staying connected to your body and well resourced during this time.

3) What is the difference between intuition and anxiety during this moon phase?

Real intuition is calm and quiet, unlike your racing thoughts. Intuition doesn’t feel panicked or pushy. If what you’re experiencing feels overwhelming, looping, or urgent, that’s more likely anxiety or the overactive mental energy of Gemini season.

4) What is the embodied manifestation and why does it matter during this New Moon?

Embodied manifestation is an approach to calling in what you desire that centers the body and nervous system, rather than relying solely on affirmations, visualization, or energetics. It recognizes that if we have unresolved fears, old conditioning, or limited capacity to receive within our system, we can’t simply think or affirm our way into lasting change. We have to work with the body, rather than bypassing it.

This means building safety, releasing what no longer serves us, and gradually expanding our capacity to hold what we’re calling in, so that when it arrives, it not only has a place to land, but a nervous system that can hold it. A key part of this is learning to work with our felt senses, the physical sensations, expansions, contractions, and areas of resistance we notice in the body, as guidance as well as a tool to call in what we desire.

This is especially relevant during the Gemini New Moon because this energetic period holds the manifestation support of all new moon energy, but it can also pull us into overthinking, second-guessing, and sending too much of our energy into our heads. When we’re caught in mental loops, we can lose touch with the deeper wisdom our bodies are offering. Embodied manifestation invites us to come back into our bodies so that we can connect with mental clarity and somatic awareness to support our intentions and manifestations in coming to fruition, having a space to land, combined with a nervous system that can hold them.
