My Story
WELCOME
I'm so grateful you're here.
Allow me to introduce myself and share with you pieces of why this work is so important to me. I did not become passionate about this work by accident.

I was always a sensitive being, with the gifts of seeing, hearing, and knowing from a very young age. Back then, however, I did not understand that they were gifts and instead I just wanted them to go away. To fit in, to feel safe, to be “normal”; I worked hard at shutting these gifts down, burying them deeply. I did not understand that my sensitive nature could be one of my greatest strengths, nor that these gifts would eventually become my guiding light – and a significant piece of my life’s work.
Even as a child I was drawn to anything energy-work. Tarot and oracle cards, pendulums, crystals… you name it. However, at the time it felt shameful, and it wasn’t until about 2013 that I began to explore these tools consistently and eventually this way of being, on a more intimate level. Life has a way of getting us to where we need to be – and for years I took the path of most resistance.
Up until I began exploring this way of being in a more embodied way (and often throughout, though with more tools and understanding), my life seemed to be a series of dark nights of the soul – not that I understood that term at the time. Crises after crises, to varying degrees. Life goes that way though, doesn’t it, when you’re resisting your true self and most authentic way of being.

Eventually, my life became so uncomfortable that the discomfort of change was less than the discomfort of staying the same. This is not to say that I hadn’t tried to shift my way of being previously, I had repeatedly. It’s that I had been trying to shift in the wrong direction. For years I utilized several well documented forms of traditional therapy, medications, diets, exercise, personal development strategies and more. Each of these continued to anchor my resistance to my sensitive nature as well as my deeply ingrained self-limiting beliefs around productivity + output = self-worth, the societal view of always needing to push through, to never slow down, and that if I just tried hard enough I would be “well”… and, and, and… I could list significant lengths of these societal barriers and deeply ingrained beliefs that perpetuated my nervous system dysfunction and while some of them would offer valuable education and possible temporary relief, in the end most left me feeling like a failure, a constant sense of being never enough and always too much and contributed to how disabled I’d eventually become.
The way we live today does not serve our greater well-being. It disconnects us from our bodies, our intuition, our natural cyclical rhythms. For a lot of us, it makes us sick and keeps us there.
If you’ve aligned with what I’ve shared thus far, then it likely won’t surprise you to hear I’ve spent the majority of my life sick in some form. Perhaps you have too. As a child, adolescent and young adult I experienced significant depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD - decades later it was discovered that a big factor in this was undiagnosed neurodivergence (IYKYK!). I lived in survival mode for so many years that I thought it was normal. It was of course, my normal. I later got a good handle on my mental health – or so I thought – while truly I was immersing myself in so many hours of work and “wellness” practices per week that I never had the time to truly be alone with my self. I learned basic meditation and practiced daily for short amounts of time, read copious amounts of personal development, and gratitude journalled daily. I thought I had healed myself when in fact I was leading up to the worst physical burnout I never could have imagined.

After about a year of becoming physically less and less able, my physical symptoms increasing in severity and bringing me to the brink of being bedridden, I was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease and co-infections and years later, ME/CFS, MCAS, POTS, Fibromyalgia, hEDS, Dysautonomia, Hashimoto’s, and Long-Covid on top of my previously existing Endometriosis and Hypothyroidism. If you have any experience with this, you’ll likely already know that the medical system here in Canada turns their back on you, the treatment is gruelling and physically, financially and emotionally exhaustive, and the disease itself may not kill you but often makes you wish it would.
My body was forcing me to slow down.
Forcing me to get comfortable in the uncomfortable.
Forcing me to meet myself deeper, more authentically, no matter how painful or distressing.
Forcing me out of the way we are programmed in this society to be, and through this, into a slower, more whole, deeply authentic way of being.
This re-routing of my life and the crumbling of all that I had previously held with such importance led me to multiple teachers, courses, healers, opened me to many mystical experiences and reconnected me to my gifts as well as uncovering new ones. I completed several courses over these years including but not limited to, Somatic Reconditioning Practitioners Certification, Therapeutic Touch® Level 1, Therapeutic Touch® Level 2, Applications of the Inner Processes of Therapeutic Touch® (previously Level 3), Past Life Regression Practitioner Certification, and multiple intuitive development and oracle card courses. I am acknowledged by the Therapeutic Touch International Association as meeting all criteria for each of their courses and am an insured member in good standing with the BC Therapeutic Touch Network Society. I adhere to and maintain the standard of ethics required by each of my certifications.
The inner process and integration of my life experience, my years of mental health experience and education, my personal experience in the medical system and of becoming so physically ill and disabled in my young adult years, alongside and within the embodiment of my spiritual, somatic and energetic practices, awakenings, and experiences, has become the foundation of what is now so clearly my life’s work.
I am now over a decade past my initial onset of physical symptoms, and I can see how my earlier survival methods contributed significantly to how physically ill I became.

The damage to my body and nervous system, both from Lyme and co-infections as well as from a lifetime of “pushing through” living in a consistent state of nervous system dysregulation or fight/flight/freeze, has been significant and I still suffer from the effects to this day. Although I seem to be recovered from the initial infections, I am continuing the healing process from several resulting complex chronic diseases and a damaged nervous system, as well as unravelling all that it means to be a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman.
The medical system tends to have an important but limited scope of what the body can really do, and the impacts that different lifestyles and ways of being have on the body, mind, and spirit. These three things work together as one whole and cannot be separated from one another. Through these experiences I have learned to work with my medical care team, and not to be limited by them. While they play an important role in my experience in this physical human form, I utilize other ways of healing alongside to bring it all together in a more holistic way.
Thanks For Being Here.
